Area Description:

The southwest section of Ashland is predominately a colleciton of new and old single family housing neighborhoods. From the historic district along Duncan Street to newer development of Lance and Bridle and Slash Cottage. Where this area differs from northwest Ashland is the incorporation of multi-family housing along Myrtle Street and south of downtown.  â€‹

Future Land Use:

The future land use for this area is predominately Single Family Low (1-4 units/acre) and Medium (2-5 units/acre) Residential, with High (5-15 units/acre) Residential south of downtown. For descriptions of these future land use classificaitons​, read the Land Use chapter.
